1And I, brothers, was not able to speak to you as to spiritual, but as to fleshy, as to infants in Christ. 2I gave you milk to drink, and not solid food; for you were not yet able. But neither are you even now able, 3for you are still fleshly. For where there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly and do you not walk according to man? 4For whenever someone says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not men? 5What then is Apollos, and what is Paul? Only servants through whom you believed, and to each as the Lord gave. 6I planted, Apollos watered, but God was giving growth; 7so that neither the one planting is anything, nor the one watering, but God, the one giving growth. 8Now the one planting and the one watering are one, and each will receive his own reward according to his own labor. 9For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building. 10According to the grace of God, the grace given to me, as a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another builds upon it. But let each one watch how he builds upon it. 11For no one is able to lay another foundation beside the one laid, which is Jesus the Christ. 12Now if anyone builds upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, timbers, hay, straw, 13each one’s work will become evident; for the Day will declare it, because it is revealed in fire, and the fire itself will test each one’s work, what sort it is. 14If anyone’s work remains which he built upon it, he will receive a reward. 15If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire. 16Do you not know that you are a temple of God, and the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him; for the temple of God is holy, which you are. 18Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks he is wise among you in this age, let him become a fool, so that he may become wise. 19For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He is the one who catches the wise in their craftiness”; 20and again, “The Lord knows the reasonings of the wise, that they are futile.” 21Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours, 22whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come, all things are yours, 23and you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.
