1You shall not see the ox of your brother or his sheep straying, and hide yourself from them; returning you shall return them to your brother. 2And if your brother is not near to you, and you do not know him, then you shall gather it into the midst of your house, and it shall be with you until your brother seeks it, and you shall return it to him. 3And so you shall do to his donkey, and so you shall do to his garment, and so you shall do to every lost thing of your brother which is lost from him and you have found it; you may not hide yourself. 4You shall not see the donkey of your brother or his ox falling on the way, and hide yourself from them; raising you shall raise them up with him. 5A man's item shall not be on a woman, and a man shall not put on a woman's garment, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD your God. 6If a bird's nest happens to be before you on the way, in any tree or on the ground, chicks or eggs, and the mother is sitting on the chicks or on the eggs, you shall not take the mother on the young; 7sending you shall send away the mother, and the young you shall take for yourself, so that it may be well with you, and you may prolong your days. 8When you build a new house, and you shall make a parapet for your roof, and you shall not place bloodguilt on your house, for the faller falls from it. 9You shall not sow your vineyard with two kinds, lest the fullness of the seed which you sow and the yield of the vineyard be defiled. 10You shall not plow with an ox and with a donkey together. 11You shall not wear mixed stuff, wool and linen together. 12Twisted cords you shall make for yourself on the four corners of your covering which you cover with. 13If a man takes a woman, and comes to her, and hates her, 14and places on her deeds of words, and brings out a bad name on her, and says, "This woman I took, and I drew near to her, and I did not find in her tokens of virginity"; 15and her father and her mother shall take and bring out the tokens of virginity to the elders of the city to the gate. 16And the father shall say to the elders, "My daughter I gave to this man as a wife, and he hates her; 17and look, he has placed deeds of words, saying, 'I did not find in your daughter tokens of virginity,' and these are the tokens of virginity of my daughter." And they shall spread out the garment before the elders of the city. 18And the elders of that city shall take the man and discipline him. 19And they shall fine him one hundred of silver, and give them to the father of the young woman, because he brought out a bad name on a virgin of Israel; and she shall be to him as a wife, he is not able all his days. 20And if this thing is true, tokens of virginity were not found. 21And they shall bring her out to the doorway of the house of her father, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones, and she shall die, because she has done a folly in Israel, to commit fornication in her father's house; and you shall purge the evil from your midst. 22If a man is found lying with a woman mastered of a master, and they also both shall die, the man lying with the woman and the woman; and you shall purge the evil from Israel. 23If there is a virgin betrothed to a man, and a man finds her in the city, and lies with her; 24and you shall bring out the two of them to the gate of that city, and you shall stone them with stones, and they shall die; the one on account that she did not cry out in the city, and the man on account that he forced the wife of his neighbor; and you shall purge the evil from your midst. 25And if in the field the man finds the betrothed, and the man seizes her, and lies with her, and the man who lay with her shall die alone. 26And to the virgin you shall not do a thing, there is no sin of death; for as when a man rises against his neighbor and murders him a soul, so is this thing. 27For in the field he found her; the betrothed cried out, and there is no savior for her. 28If a man finds a virgin who is not betrothed, and he seizes her and lies with her, and they are found; 29and the man lying with her shall give to the father fifty of silver, and to him she shall be as a wife, because he forced her; he is not able all his days. 30A man shall not take the wife of his father, and shall not uncover the skirt of his father.
